Post Anesthesia Care Nurse

Job Title: RN PACU/Pre Op

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado, 81505

Schedule: 5X8

Shift: DAYS

Pay Range: $2400- $2666/week

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient charts thoroughly, including lab and radiology orders/results, H&Ps, consents, and updates.
• Explain procedures, treatments, and discharge instructions clearly to patients and families to alleviate apprehension and confirm understanding.
• Document detailed patient assessments and nursing care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Prepare PREOP/PACU I and II areas with necessary supplies and equipment before patient arrival.
• Maintain constant vigilance regarding patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
• Assist with safe and smooth transfer of patient care between the OR, PREOP, and PACU units.

Education and Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license,
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years experience in PREOP and PACU nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required
